Paradise Pedestrians are a walking football club based in ELY, Cambridgeshire, with a dedicated group of players both Ladies and Gents.
They visited Madeira for 7 days being the first walking football Club from the UK to do so, they took part in 3 IMWF sessions on the 12th,15th and 17th of May 2026 at our spectacular setting and home base, Centro Desportivo da Madeira Stadium, Ribeira Brava.
All teams chosen were mixed and matched culminating in 3 fantastic friendly sessions and thoroughly enjoyed by EVERYONE!
They were an absolute pleasure for me to referee.
The icing on the cake was the socialising enjoyed by all after the sessions at our Taberna Poncha bar in Serra de Agua.

“We came to Madeira on a Walking Football adventure, also a chance to experience the island’s renowned hospitality, dramatic scenery, levadas and the subtropical climate, we achieved this and more thanks to the welcoming and warmth from the lads and lasses of IMWF and 3 great sessions with so many happy memories to take back to the UK, we are already looking to come out again in 2027 with a larger group to visit, play with and meet you all again, our new friends”.
