Inter Madeira Walking Football (IMWF) will be taking part in the Regional Walking Football Gathering – Porto Santo 2026, organised by ATARAM (Associação de Técnicos de Arbitragem da Região Autónoma da Madeira).
The gathering will take place on Saturday, 31 October 2026, starting at 9:00 am, at the Estádio José Lino Pestana in Porto Santo.
The event will bring together Walking Football teams from across Madeira and Porto Santo, providing an opportunity for players to enjoy the game, meet other teams and share their enthusiasm for Walking Football.
Participating Teams
According to the latest information provided by the organisers, eight groups have confirmed their participation:
- ALPFA Musa
- Estreito
- Inter Madeira Walking Football (IMWF)
- Santacruzense
- João Inácio
- CTT
- Universidade Sénior da Ribeira Brava
- Canicense
Confirmation is still awaited from Universidade Sénior do Porto Santo and 1.º de Maio.
The organisers expect approximately 12 to 15 teams to participate, including both recreational and competitive teams. The final number of teams will be confirmed closer to the event.
More Than Just Football
For IMWF, taking part in gatherings like this is about more than football.
As a recreational Walking Football club based in Ribeira Brava, Madeira, we encourage people aged 50 and over to stay active, make friends and enjoy playing football in a friendly and welcoming environment.
This gathering provides another opportunity for our members to meet players from other clubs, share experiences and help promote Walking Football throughout Madeira and beyond.
